Visas to Enter Cyprus
The vast majority of people attending the conference do not need to apply for a visa in advance to enter Cyprus. This includes all EU, EEA and EFTA country citizens, citizens of the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Israel, Japan, and many other countries.
You can find out if you do need to apply for a visa in advance by clicking here.
In most cases visas to enter Cyprus from countries like the USA, Israel, Canada etc. are issued at the airport on arrival, and last for three months.
If you do need to apply for a visa to enter Cyprus in advance you will need to make the application for the visa yourself at the Cyprus Embasssy, Cyprus High Commission or Cyprus Consulate for your country. A full list of these can be found by clicking here.
If you need to make an application for a visa you should note the following:
-
The organisers of Othello's Island cannot make a visa application for you.
-
The organisers of Othello's Island cannot act as financial or other guarantors for visa applications as we are not residents of Cyprus. Because of this we do not issue or sign Assumption of Responsibility for Hosting forms.
-
We do not write letters of invitation but if you are a confirmed speaker we will state this on a speakers' confirmation letter.
-
You can only apply for a visa if you have your accommodation already booked. Click on Accommodation in the menu at the top of this page for information on accommodation.
